Creative Process

The creative process began by defining a next-generation visual language for the Portuguese National Team, balancing national identity, realistic player presentation and the clarity expected from a contemporary football game. Each stage was developed as part of one connected experience, from character studies and kit details to interface screens, campaign images and cinematic motion.

Main Character Face – Alex Silva

The first character study established Alex Silva’s facial identity through proportion, expression and close-up presentation. The goal was to create a believable player who could hold attention in cinematic portraits while remaining consistent across menus, promotional material and gameplay views.

Main Character Body – Alex Silva

The full-body development extended that identity into silhouette, athletic proportions and the Portuguese kit. Particular attention was given to how the uniform, stance and detailing communicate speed, confidence and national representation from both close and distant camera angles.

Game Mode – Alex Silva

The game-mode sequence placed the character inside a functional sports interface. Information hierarchy, selection states and visual framing were organised so that the player remains the focal point while the UI communicates choices quickly and clearly.

Main Character Face – Carina Ferreira

Carina Ferreira’s facial study introduced a second distinct personality while preserving the same level of realism and art direction. Expression, lighting and framing were refined to make the character feel equally convincing in profile screens and cinematic imagery.

Main Character Body – Carina Ferreira

The body and kit presentation was designed to complement the first character without repeating it. Pose, silhouette and uniform details reinforce an individual presence while maintaining the shared visual identity of the Portuguese team concept.

Game Mode – Carina Ferreiraa

The second game-mode presentation tested the interface with a different character and composition. This helped validate the flexibility of the UI system and ensured that typography, controls and character framing remained balanced across the roster.

Showcase – Campaign Advertisements

The campaign images transformed the game assets into bold promotional compositions. Stadium atmosphere, national colours, dramatic light and strong player poses were combined to create visuals suitable for launch communication and social media.

Showcase – Video Animations Game

The final animation stage brought together characters, environments and interface moments through pacing and cinematic camera movement. The sequences were edited to alternate between emotional close-ups and energetic action, presenting the concept as a unified game reveal.
