The Big Wave was developed as a cinematic visual narrative built around scale, tension and the contrast between a modern city and an overwhelming natural force. The process focused on creating a consistent atmosphere across the key images, treating every frame as part of the same disaster-film world rather than as an isolated experiment.
The initial direction established the visual rules of the project: a monumental wave, dense urban architecture, dramatic weather and a human sense of vulnerability. Camera height, perspective and atmospheric depth were carefully controlled so the scale of the event feels immediate and cinematic.
The image series expanded the concept through multiple viewpoints and moments of escalation. Each composition was refined for continuity in light, water behaviour, architecture and colour, creating a sequence that reads like key frames from the same film while preserving the strongest details of each scene.
