Creative Process
This restaurant point-of-sale concept was designed to make everyday service faster, clearer and easier to manage. The challenge was to organise menu selection, table orders, payments and operational information in an interface that staff could understand quickly during busy service periods.
Workflow Definition
The process started by mapping the core journey from sign-up to dashboard, new order and order management. Each step was simplified around the decisions that matter most: selecting a table, adding items, reviewing the order, confirming payment and checking its current status.
Interface Structure
The new-order screen was organised to keep menu browsing and the active ticket visible at the same time. Categories, product cards, quantities and totals were given a clear visual hierarchy, reducing unnecessary movement between screens. The management view then brings active and completed orders together in a format that is easy to scan.
Design System
Reusable components were created for navigation, cards, buttons, filters and status labels. Consistent spacing and typography improve familiarity, while colour is reserved for actions and operational states so that it carries meaning rather than decoration.
Refinement and Outcome
The layouts were reviewed for speed, readability and continuity across the full workflow. The final concept presents a modern POS experience that supports quick ordering, clear order tracking and a more organised view of restaurant operations.
